Lord Drex's History:
Even the Western Empire will only take too much. Lord Drex was the
youngest son of the Traymor house. This was a well establish noble family
that was quite possibly on it way up. While a bit on the cruel side, they
were consistent with their application of the rules and were fair. Drex
was trained in the ways of a knight since an early age and wanted to get
his fathers title instead of his oldest brother inheriting the title. Lord
Drex was already well know for cruelty and his father was considering banishing.
As a result of both of these situations, the Young Knight decided it was
time to take things into his own hands. He hired some bandits to raid the
castle and murder his entire family leaving him only. Unfortunately for
him, the noble house over his hired two wizards and a mind mage to find
out the truth of the situation. When it was discovered that Lord Drex was
responsible, he was arrested and he was ordered to be put to death.
The night that he was to have been put to death, he was rescued by a
Witch named Sybelle Cartess who is in the service of Mephisto. She offered
him a choice, serve her and her master or die. He chose to serve but she
is very careful because she supcets he will eventually try and betray her.
On his way out, he maimed and murdered several of the castle guards and
mangled their corpse as a warning for anyone that went after him. While
orders were given to hunt him down and he is a wanted man in the Western
Empire, the Witch used magical creme to change his face so it is not likely
that he will recognized.
Since being rescued, he has traveled with the Witch and has shown no
signs of disloyalty. It is as likely fear as anything else making him loyal.
He knows the witch leaves every several months to serve Mephisto and killing
her would make a demon lord go after him. Later, a Dark Priestess joied
them. He is afraid of her 'God' as well ands has not double crossed her
either. Since the group has gotten together, they have caused devastation
in many countries and they are wanted dead by almost every major power.
Even places like the Western Empire want them killed. Due to their killing
off of Witnesses and use of disguises, there is not good identification
and it not likely they will be caught soon.
